FAQ

How can I answer a question?

Click on the “Survey” link at the top of the page.

I answered a survey question, but my answer isn’t on the blog. Where it is?

It can take up to an hour for a response to appear on the blog.

Why aren’t the questions on the survey page served in order?

The survey page serves questions at random (but it does try and not show you the same question twice in a session). This is so that early questions aren’t answered more often than later questions.

I see a specific question I’d like to answer. How do I?

Go to the Complete Question List page and click the “A” next to the question you’d like to answer.

How can I see all responses to a given question

Either click on the “Question #” tag on a given response, or go to the Complete Question List page and click the “R” next to the question you’d like to see all responses for.

Are these real?

Yes. Every “Response” post on the site is a real submission from a site visitor.

I have an idea for a survey question that should be on the site. How can I send it to you?

I love suggestions! Send your suggestion to me using the “Contact” link at the top of the page.

I see an answer I particularly like. How can I tell who wrote it?

You can’t. The survey is completely anonymous (well, as anonymous as anything can be online).

I see a response that’s very offensive, uses awful language, or that’s obviously spam. What should I do?

You can either contact me (using the “Contact” link at the top of the page) with a link to the post or, even better, leave a comment in the post itself. If I think it needs to be removed, I’ll delete it.
